Cherishing Memories – Taj Mahal

Yesterday, when I was removing the unused items from my computer system I came across a folder Agra Trip. This is the folder where I have kept all my memories of Agra trip. I opened the folder and viewed all pictures and videos. It reminded me of the time we spent there. We mean me and my friends.

There was some Database workshop conducted by our college in Agra. The college didn’t provide any transportation to go there. We have to reach there on our own. So, our group of friends decided to go by train. The departure time of the train was 7:30 on Sunday morning. We had to reach there by 7:00 AM. I stayed at my relative’s place so that I can reach station on time. I and two of my friends decided to meet at bus stop at 5:30 AM near my place. It was the month of April. I hate waking up early in the morning but that day I loved it. I was very much excited for the trip as it was the first time I was going alone with my friends on a four – day trip. I managed to reach on time at bus stop and we all met outside Nizamuddin Railway Station on time. Then, we boarded the train and it departed at the scheduled time. During our Journey, we took breakfast from the vendors in the train. Finally, we reached our destination, Agra.

Now, we had to find the place to stay. We roamed here and there to find a suitable place and after searching so many options we found a suitable place at reasonable price. We reached there at 12 in afternoon. From the receptionist, we came to know that Taj Mahal was about 15 minutes away from the hotel. We decided to had rest and then go there. I had never seen Taj Mahal before and I was dying to see its beauty. In the evening around 4 pm, we reached there. It was a bright sunny day. I still remember the moment when I was entering the gate from where I had a first glimpse of Taj Mahal. Though not very near but still very clear. It was looking much more beautiful than I ever imagined. When we crossed the main gate and can had the complete view of Taj Mahal, we started clicking the pictures and making videos. Then, we entered into Taj Mahal and had loads of fun there. On the way back to hotel, we purchased key rings in which Taj Mahal was built-in. We also bought earrings from there. It was a great day.
On the second day of our training program, we got an early off. As soon as we reached out of our class, we found that a sunny day was transformed into a cloudy day and later it started drizzling. We decided to had lunch and visit Taj Mahal again. When we reached there it started raining heavily. But we didn’t care and enjoyed the weather. The weather was an additional ornament to the beauty of the place. The sky was very dark and sunlight was falling only on the tomb of Taj Mahal. That day I realized how romantic is this place and why people is so eager to watch Taj Mahal. It was so beautiful and ravishing monument that I have ever seen. The words fall short to describe its beauty. It was an amazing and awesome experience for me. Buy every story has an end. Finally, I reached home and was feeling really tired. But I had loads of memory with me to cherish. Even today, whenever I recalled those moments I see the pictures and videos of the trip and realize how fast time goes by. It’s three years now but still the memories are alive in my mind and heart.
